I am the original (and only) owner. I bought this bike at Palo Alto Bikes in 1986. it was originally white, but I had it powder-coated black after a frame repair around 1990. This bike was ridden hard, and parts broke and have been replaced, but the frame, fork, headset, seat post, handlebars and crank are original. The decals now on the bike were the same color as the original set, but it lacks the "AscentSE" decal that was on the top tube. The "Handcrafted by Tom Ritchey" sticker has all but rubbed off, and one of the photos shows the remnants at the bottom of the seat tube. The BB is kind of roached, so I can't read the serial number. I was riding it up dirt Alpine in Portola Valley one time, and Tom Ritchey rode past me and said "Nice bike!" I now use it for an around town cruiser/commuter bike.

Is there a URL where people can read or see more about your bike?
