I am the original owner and ordered from a bike dealer in Los Gatos California in 1991 with the optional braze-ons for 3rd water bottle cage, rear fender, and rear rack. I had previously owned a 1988 green TimberCOMP that was unfortunately stolen and this Everest was its replacement. in 1991 I swapped out the wheelset with one built by Al Budris to Weinmann/Bontrager rims, Phil Wood hubs, and Sachs-Maillard freewheel. The Los Gatos dealer installed Phil Wood bottom bracket assembly and Chris King threaded headset. Along the way I swapped the saddle for the Avocet/Ritchey saddle that was on the 1988 TimberCOMP, swapped skewers to Salsa, handlebar grips, and pedals to clipless. I still use the original pedals on another bike that I own/ride. Regarding the serial number, I suspect the plastic cable guide on the bottom bracket is covering up the first digit for the frame size, so likely the full serial number is 0E9 for the 9th 20 inch frame of the Everest model.

Is there a URL where people can read or see more about your bike?
